Product Area: Server Technical Area: Directory Services - Directory Catalog Platform: Cross Platform
SPR# ARL4TVJFN - The Directory Catalog and Extended Directory Catalog allow administrators to specify a selection formula to manage their contents. The selection formula is used during the initial build and subsequent full rebuilds of the DirCat and EDC, but is ignored during standard updates, allowing undesired records into the database. This problem has been fixed in 5.0.8.

Directory Services - Directory Catalog
SPR# ARL4TVJFN - The Directory Catalog and Extended Directory Catalog allow
administrators to specify a selection formula to manage their contents. The
selection formula is used during the initial build and subsequent full rebuilds
of the DirCat and EDC, but is ignored during standard updates, allowing
undesired records into the database. This problem has been fixed in 5.0.8.
The selection formula in a Directory Catalog will only be used during the two
circumstances mentioned above:
During an initial build of the Directory Catalog, and
The clearing of the replication history.
Clearing the replication history is the recommended workaround until the fix
can be implemented. Note that, once the replication history is cleared, the
DIRCAT task performs a complete rebuild of the catalog, not a simple update - a
process that can take significantly longer to complete, especially with larger
catalogs.Supporting Information:
